What's a quality mortgage lead?

Everyone's definition of "quality" is a little bit different. When it comes to how mortgage brokers and loan officers evaluate the quality of any given lead generation service, however, the key requirements are straightforward-deliver a consistent product and deliver it on time.

  The List : We use a variety of list sources. Typically we purchase lists of homeowners and then we are careful to remove   anyone who has added their number to the Do Not Call registry.

  Quality People : Our quality starts with our telemarketing team. We typically interview thirty people for every one we   hire. We exclusively hire college graduates with excellent language skills. For those who make the cut, an extensive   training program awaits. We train them on the mortgage industry and then we teach them how to be both polite and   informative when talking to your prospective customers on the phone. Then we monitor the calls and provide regular   feedback to ensure that you are well represented.

  Lots of Calls : There's no way of getting around the hard work involved in generating a quality sales lead. A typical   agent will make over 300 outbound calls in a day. Most of those calls won't reach a live person and by the end of the day   we'll expect an average agent to distill all those calls into 1 or 2 quality sales leads.

  Quality Testing : But it doesn't end there. We don't pass a mortgage lead along to you until we're absolutely sure it   meets the criteria that you've specified. Verifiers will then double check to make sure that the leads are both qualified   and interested in talking to you. Only then do we deliver the lead to you.

  Guarantee : At the end of the day, you are the final arbiter of quality. If for any reason you feel that the lead we deliver   doesn't meet the specific criteria you've requested, we'll replace your lead or refund your money.
